m8, you should KNOW I'll be there!!
I'm not as forgetful as Bish!!!
Mind you, the question is: is it at all dignified for a 48 year old man to be typing "m8"..??!!! :D

Top night great to see everyone again, its been far too long.

Shame it was only a 1/2hr set. would have loved to have heard more of the new songs from the album. Nice to meet the new band members too and catch up with James on how depressing it is to be a Spurs fan at the moment.

Can't remember the full set list off the top of my head I know they played the following:

Roller Disco
Atom City Girl
Cheap Flowers
Rachel
1980s
Tiger
Rocksteady

Help me out I know there were more!

Loved the new Merch board too :)

Evening.

(First time caller, so please be gentle)

Can anyone remember the names of any of the support bands on either of the Purple Turtle gigs? Or the Club Metro gig come to thinkof it? Been trying to remember one of them, but for the life of me, I've not even the faintest idea what they're called. Or looked like. Or sounded like. Or whether it was the Purple Turtle or Club Metro. But they were really good. Honest.

Taken me a while to reply(!), but...

I assume you're referring to the two Purple Turtle gigs in 2008...
In which case the support bands were:
on 18 June Brandon Steep + The Stan Sermons;
and on 10 October The Stayaways + White Russians + ENL

Am guessing the "good support" you're referring to is Brandon Steep..??

Of course The Hussy's have played previously at the Purple Turtle too - on 25 April 2007.
The three other bands that night were People In Planes + Spies plus the headliners that evening, The Draytones.

The Draytones are a SUPERB band who I've seen several other times since..

The Club Metro gig was the ONLY London Hussy's gig to date I've missed.. So can't help you there!!

I say, to date in wistful hope that maybe one day, soon (sometime..?!) they'll be another London Hussy's gig to go too..
What's up lads and lasses..: lost yer passports..?!!

Del, I got the Draytones album for £1.50 on amazon and it's pretty good.

Hopefully we'll try and play in London when the new album comes in the Autumn out but we get paid £100 max and it costs us £160 for van, £220 for diesel, £100 for a travelodge, £80 for a sound engineer....it's basically a charity event if you see what I mean and none of the band have trust funds or that kind of cash to burn.

Eve JC !

Like always said .. don't know how you guys do it financially.

I've got a big court case pending August or September and If I'm successful (When being the smart ass I am, I know I will be !! ) someone will be giving me lottsa monies.

If they do, would gladly sneak you guys 'diesel monies' (without the gf knowing, well she is high up in finance and knows how stupid I am about money  ) on the condition that five lines of 'TVC15' are segued into 'Shop Dummies' when sung live?

 Jack

P.S. And this is why I always say to you Hussettes attending any of The Hussy's gigs to buy some merchandise, as it helps The Hussy's alleviate their costs giving you guys what you want.

And am sure If you want anything signed by all the band, all you gotta do, is do what I do and *demand *you ain't buying unless the band all sign it !!

You get your signed item and The Hussy's get diesel money to get home !
