Hey Hussettes ! :)
Just curious, but how many Hussy's gigs have peeps been to, and where ?

Like said before, because of my geographical location, I may have more access to The Hussy's gigs at the mo (time will come when they`re "visiting a town near you" regular, when folx *cotton on* to how excellent they are , real soon ! :) so I won`t list my gigs .
( Who said "smart *rs* keeps posting gig pix ?" Hands up ! )
Genuinly interested in The Hussy`s gigs that folx have attended and their memories of the night . :)
(Am a wee nosey bugger me ! )

Keep Hussying !!!
. 8) Jack

P.S. Genuinely pleasantly surprised that the tix for the King Tuts gig where The Hussy's are supporting `SFG`, whom I don`t rate,as I haven`t much of their stuff !
(SORRY folx..too many `Twang` bands these days ! ) are £7.00.
And the Hussy's gig at the same place a couple of weeks later as *the headliners* cost £6.00.
One day I will be proved right !!!!!!!!
"Mon The Hussy's !!"

My best night seeing the guys was in Purple Turtle, Camden Town. We got there early so decided to go to a scruffy little pub opposite. We got a drink and sat down when this strange bloke walked into the pub on his own - Ronnie himself. I didn't really know him that well and offered him a drink, he had a mineral water and hardly spoke 2 words to us - I think we frightened him,

When we went into the gig ( It was headlined by The Draytones) The band were sat around on the upholstered sofas and it was pretty empty. Greg was amusing himself with Linda and Caroline writing something on his laptop. Bish and myself were collecting e mail addresses for the mailing list and giving out free badges.

The band came on and were fantastic (I had a brief chat with Roy from Scouting For Girls who is a big Hussy's fan)The set finished and I was supposed to go home as I had an early morning flight to catch, but somehow Linda and Caroline persuaded me to go to Highbury or Islington - can't remember, to see Steve B and Horsebox. I was half passed yellow water and got myself a pint of cider and walked over to the stage - Steve B was playing with a band to a large crowd and I remember him saying "magictiger is here" everyone looked at me. I then went to the loo and as I came out I was looking for my cider and when I looked up, Michel from the magics was standing there - she said hello and I froze and couldn't get my words out. I gained my composure and talked to her for what seemed ages - I was unusually shy. I gave her a Hussy's badge and she put it on her bag with her other badges. I wet home and had sweet dreams  Got up early and caught my flight to Teesside to see the Hussy's in Darlington.

I saw the hussy's at the ku bar in stockton on tees, the venue was crap compared to how good the hussy's were, there was only me that knew any of the songs. That was the first time any of us tmn crew had seen them and they dedicated Marty to me! i was quite drunk as they never came on till 11 then i hugged fili about 20times told her i loved her and went home

Then i saw them in Glasgow,I went to essex on the bus and thought i was going to see southend play  Anyway when i got there Joz suprised me with tickets and then he took me out for dinner,we had a six hour sing song to Glasgow, got there, got lost, watched 50 people have a fight, met up with the tmn crew who had no idea we were going either got drunk, fili gave me a cuddle this time!,met Greg (what a dude) and had a great great nite

Hey J !! :)
Excellent little post ! :)
In reality, I`m not the little gabby irritating person that I appear on the forum, am more a listener than a talker . Sometimes I just post to get a reaction, and to get folx talking, so that I can *listen*. :)
Must be your longest post yet J ? No ? :)
"It`s good to vent" ain`t it ? :P
Have said before that one of the good things about going to see The Hussy`s is you end up in strange venues and bars . :(
Love walking into strange bars and venues, just to provoke a reaction .
Went to see your man Morrissey a few months ago, which was a rock`n`roll night, then went to the most scruffiest bar that I could find, just to complete the gfs night, as she is also a Morrissey fan, but ever soo proper .
Found one of those bars, where the clientele are all *in bred* and have been drinking there every Friday & Saturday eve for the past 30 years.
( The type were you walk through the saloon doors, and the piano player stops playing, everyone stops talking and glare menacingly :) )
Needless to say, within 10 minutes had lottsa new friends and had to keep the gf from belting it out on the Karaoke !
Sorry If my SFGs comments annoy any peeps, but all I do is watch MTV2 all day, and it`s saturated with those type of bands .
Always go to gigs with no preconceived ideas, so who knows, may see `em at King Tuts and think them excellent ?

As for the `magictiger` "being unusually shy "?
Can`t *picture* it somehow .

And as said J, excellent little post !

I wouldn't worry about your sfg comment. You are entitled to your opinion and should'nt have to like them because we do or because they are playing with the hussy's

it took me ages and lots of nagging :D to get roy to join the forum

i don't think he has been since.

I've attended all the London ones, apart from the most recent one :-

Dublin Castle
The Fly
Purple turtle
Fopp TCR

is that them?

Plus the Leicester Charlotte gig.

The Dublin castle gig cost me a fortune. Got a day return from Coventry (at uni at the time). Got drunk (may have accosted fili and james a lil), next thing i know i wake up at Kennington on the Northern Line, with 10 minutes before my last train goes at Euston - bear in mind i must have got on at Camden town which is only 1 stop to Euston.

So, i go to change platforms, manage to trip into the north bound carriage which is empty. I think 'phew no-one saw me'. Someone working for TFL walks past sticks his head in and says 'haha i saw you fall over' and then carries on.

I get to Euston and sit down against something. No trains back to Cov that night. A train empties and people come past me, one of them chucks a train ticket down and goes 'here you go mate'. It was a useless train ticket(to liverpool i think).

I look what trains there are and decide to get one that is going through Harrow Wealdstone, as i lived the previous year at Rayners Lane (about 2-4 miles from Harrow). I get to harrow weald without being ticket inspected.

At harrow weald i walk to the bus station. Have tried calling ex-housemates, no response. The one i get on best with is currently in Mexico.

I finally get a bus which is heading in the right direction but not to Rayners Lane. When i see us go past a Rayners Lane sign, i get off the bus and follow the road signs. Still haven't got in touch with housemates.

After walking about in just my t-shirt - was a reasonably cold march (i think) night I get to the house, by some amazing stroke of luck the front door and inside porch door had both been left unlocked!

Think this was around 2.3/3am ish. I made it my housemate who was aways room, and went to bed, albeit taking a while for my hands to sort themselves out from being so cold!

To top this off, in the morning I had lost my young persons railcard. Plus i had to buy a new and expensive ticket to get me back to Cov. The Dublin Castle ain't cheap either :)

Oh well.

`Down In the Tube Station At Midnight`

Hey G !
Ta mucho for the little memories . :)
Life is more fun when you have these little `misadventures`.
Always seems sh*t at the time, but like I always say " You`ll laugh about this tomorrow in the pub!"
Am forever getting lost in strange cities and missing trains etc etc , but just think it adds to lifes adventure`. :D
Hoge gigs were a ball , and worth all the misadventures .
