I don't Twitter, and I barely Facebook. I'm still learning Myspace...

Twitter is full of a lot of people/companies who want to promote themselves and are under the impression that they need to be on Twitter. Some have lots of followers, but they're only being followed because the followers want to be followed. Of course there are exceptions.

Pen pals are the way forward.

Probably the 'Victor Meldrew' in moi, but how much does 'Twitter' and 'Facebook' smack of 'get a life' ??????

As you know,not one for self popularity, which 'Twitter' & 'Facebook' kinda smack of.

If I want 2039 'friends' I'll go out to the pub, a gig, a festival or somewhere in the 'real world' , and If I happen to accquire one or two then I'll know that they are actually friends !

Maybe it's just me, but I don't want all this useless information from folx sad lives !!
(And YEAH !! Know that by posting on this forum on a Friday eve, 'I'm kinda contradicting myself, but If you read on, then will be understood I'm not ! And Yeah !! I'm on 'Twitter' & Facebook' somewhere,as I 'had to' just to access bands, NOT to make 'cyber-friends', so accounts kinda lie dormant.)

Gives me all that I want !

I just want information 'direct' from bands on when they're touring and what they're releasing, and to hear their latest songs !
That's it !
Nothing more !

FACEBOOK

LIKE how SAD is 'Facebook' ?

Do you really want to ADVERTISE to folx that you've been sat without a life on your PC seven days a week (with all the times you were 'on' your PC given ?? ) spending your time playing silly 'Mafia Wars'/ Farmville' & 'Cafe World' ? games ?

"Telling folx you've achieved this or that status on 'Farmville' / Cafe World'/ 'Mafia Wars' or sending them a plum tree or whatever such sh*t, Only advertises that you are * SAD* !!!

Want to impress folx, make 'REAL' friends, then turn your PC off and go down the town !

)/why you actually feel the need to post so frequently as though it now makes you 'POPULAR"

Don't 'buy into this 'Twitter' crap ! !!!!

Of course maybe I'm just anti-social and am wrong, but feel free to argue, and prove me WRONG !!

(Then I'll go search for your 'Facebook' / 'Twitter' sites and see how many folx that you've 'bragged to' about achieving some level on some silly site playing some silly game, as though it made your life 'MORE IMPORTANT ')

Of course I expect the argument to come back that I'm on The Hussy's forum, but that's only because I think they're so excellelent, and so am only here to 'promote' THEM, not me !

Quiet day at work, pie for lunch (well it is Scoland!) very busy evening, one text from a friend about her having tea in Ayr alone, rush to print cd covers for sale at a concert tonight, made time for pasta for tea tho, yum, rush to the gig in Irvine, good gig, videod, might add some to youtube later, just home, about to have a cup of tea (just milk) and a biscuit (custard creams, might have two actually) paperwork to do next, bills to pay, life's so expensive these days, webwork to do later, myspace Hussy's site etc, facebook obviously, must send out more e-mails and bulletins about gig at Sleazy's, got to phone plumber too, cat's just jumped up on my lap for a stroke, will text you if anything else happens ...
